Karen Read research was VERY poor
Generally I enjoy this podcast, but as a follower of the case for almost 2yrs, you missed very important info that negates your conclusion of the microscopic glass shards in John’s sweatshirt making you think Karen hit him. The MSP had John belongings for over 6wks in their possession before they logged it and followed proper procedures…some of John’s clothes were taken off in the ambulance and discarded on the floor, other items were cut off at the hospital…none of the items were appropriately handled. The examiners that sent evidence off to be tested did not send the actual items to the certified labs, they only swabbed the items themselves and sent the swabs…admittedly they didn’t follow the standard operating procedures. Another HUGE things you didn’t address were the ARCA reconstruction team that the FEDS hired independently on their own and turned the info over to the defense to use for this case- ARCA is world renowned and they concluded definitively that John was not hit by a car and Karen’s car did not have a collision with a human. There was also a dog bite expert confirmed that John’s arm was in fact a result of a large animal biting/tearing/scratching a human. There are SO many more inconsistencies that show clear corruption in this case and just last week the FEDS made a SWAT arrest of an officer from the SAME area in the Sandra Birchmore case (he groomed her as a child and murdered her as a young woman and framed it as a suicide-research that one!!) and it’s been proven now that there are MANY of the same law enforcement officers involved in both the Birchmore and Read cases…it’s all mind blowing!!!
Love Tina and Rich!
Tina and Rich are so endearing! I’m 34 with 3 kids and find Tina and Rich to be a soothing and comforting part of my week. Thank you for creating this podcast and caring about putting it out so consistently. I look forward to it and am grateful to y'all for doing it!!
Their voices are so soothing!
I love this podcast so much because their voices are soothing and calming and there’s not a lot of errrs, ums, uh filler words. Great summaries and seem like a very kind and happy couple.
Can’t stop thinking about Watson & Addie story
Oh my gosh the way you told this last one was amazing. I particularly liked how you discussed the strangeness of this one at the end. Oh and the Maine content was interesting too. Sorry about the Covid experience.
Fantastic Research
This podcast is very well researched! I really enjoyed learning things about cases that I thought I knew very well!
Murder but wholesome
Tina and Rich are the podcast parents I didn’t know I needed. Truly my favorite podcast!
True crime with empathy
Well researched and presented with compassion.
You two!
There is just something about your endearing relationship that makes listening to these horrible crimes very compelling. It’s brilliant to take stories about acts committed by the people we trust the most, our partners, and tell them from the perspective of a seemingly perfectly healthy marriage. You add humor while still showing respect to victims and their families, emotion when it’s unavoidable, and are clear and succinct in your reporting. I thought the snacks were silly at first, but now I like that personal touch. Keep it up!
True crime? Look no further….
Strong research, straightforward narrative & dessert. Yaasss
The best podcast!
You two are the sweetest, most adorable couple! I have literally never written a review for anything in my life, but after hearing the claims that someone said about you not writing your own material, I felt compelled to express my gratitude and admiration for all the work you two put into this podcast. I am an avid podcast listener, and I get very annoyed at so many where there is constant laughter and inane repetition of information. You all get to the point immediately and succinctly, and I just adore the way you approach the topics with sensitivity, while avoiding too saccharine an approach. Thank you for being you, and for ALL of the hard work you put into this podcast. You are appreciated!

I stumbled across this pod cast a couple of weeks ago and stayed.
Rich, you’re wrong!
I forget what episode you said that your production quality was poor, but I disagree. It’s what keeps me coming back, because the audio production is so well done. The content is also great. And Tina is awesome, too! You do wear your heart on your sleeve, tho. But that’s ok.
A must listen for True Crime Enthusiast and Snack Lover
An absolute gem in the world of podcasts!! From the very first episode, Rich and Tina captivate their listeners (me!!) with their engaging storytelling and dynamic chemistry (not to mention their snack recommendations!). Their deep dives into each case are meticulously researched, providing all the details true crime fans crave. Their discussions on each case are always full of insights, refreshing, and thought-provoking. You can tell their compassion for the victims and their families and friends, and their genuine passion for the subject matter shine through in every episode. There are a lot of heartfelt moments in the episode and it’s clear that they both put a lot of effort into making each episode entertaining and informative. One of the bests and definitely one of my favorite podcasts of all time - and I listen to a lot of podcasts, not just true crime podcasts! Simply put, a must listen! And their Patreon is WORTH IT.

As a librarian, that is doing a True crime club. I am trying to dive into as much content about this case as humanly possible. Your podcast on this case wins the # 1 award for content being accurate and true. Thank you for doing it so well. I can’t wait to listen to more of your podcast!!!
Love your podcast!
I’ve been listening for a few months and have really enjoyed your vibe , your compassion and your storytelling! I just finished listening to the episode with your daughter! You are sweet together!!!
Relationship Goals
You two are the relationship goal! Not to be confused with the content of the pod haha! I love the mutual teamwork of storytelling and the dynamic between the two of you while doing so. This is one of my favorite pods, please don’t ever stop creating them :)
New-ish listener
I discovered your podcast after recommendation by Jessica of HowSweetEats (long time follower of her blog like Tina šŸ˜€). I’ve been binging probably too many episodes old and new. Thank you for the care you take in telling the stories with so much respect for the victims. I must admit my favorite part is your snack discussions, with an added bonus of life in Michigan (I grew up in Midland and have been away for a long time). Keep up the great work!

This podcast is a nice mix of fact, commentary and case audio. There’s a lot of small talk but I can live with that. Your podcast of the Watts case was the first I’d heard anyone get emotional which was so touching. And the Nico Lee/ Nichol connection was the first I’d heard too, which makes the case even more disturbing. Sadly, there are so many cases to cover, look forward to hearing your take on others!
Great couple, great podcast!!
I just recently discovered this podcast, and I’m so glad I did! They do a great job of researching and breaking down cases, without sensationalizing them. They are compassionate toward victims and victim families, and I just really enjoy their banter and vibe. They are a couple who obviously love and respect one another and each another’s opinions. Truly a pleasure to listen to.

I really like it so far. I’m starting at the beginning. I really like the content but could do with less of Tina’s interruptions.
Podcast
You two do such a good job !! I am so glad I discovered it because I really enjoy listening to you all ā¤ļø !!!!
Love!
I loved hearing your daughter on your podcast! Tina and Rich, I think you are amazing and very genuine! Very refreshing!
Love them!
This has become one of my absolute favorite podcasts. The hosts are fantastic story tellers and their research is extremely thorough which is very apparent when listening. It’s clear that their hearts are big and they are greatly affected by the victims in their stories and those who have lost their loved ones. I wait, somewhat impatiently, every week for a new episode and I’m never disappointed. I hope they never stop recording. 😊
